We are looking for someone to direct and manage the Corporate Sales Department, to ensure that all customers associated with each Department receive the best standards of service and the targeted income streams are delivered in the following areas:

  • Match Day Hospitality Sales 
  • Advertising Sales 
  • Conference and Banqueting Sales 
  • Corporate Events Sales 
  • The Blues Network Business Programme 
  • Support the Chief Commercial Officer with the ‘Official Sponsorship & Partnership Programme’

Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer the position is responsible for the delivery of Corporate sales income, working in line with Commercial business strategies to ensure that the Club moves forward by developing new ways of working, retention of existing Partners, Sponsors and corporate customers.


  • Actively increase the profile of the Football Club in both the Local Regions and Nationally
  • To act as an Ambassador for the Football Club in terms of all Commercial activity conducted
  • To set and achieve Department targets agreed with Chief Commercial Officer and approved by the Board
  • Provide a sound business plan illustrating the ways of increasing new business and retention of customers bases
  • To identify new ways of working to ensure that the club moves forward by development of new business strategies
  • To lead, motivate, develop, mentor all Staff of the specific corporate functions ensuring performance is monitored and targets are delivered
  • Maintain relationships with all Key Partners / Sponsors and Corporate Customers
  • Ensure that the Commercial Department operates in the most cost-effective way possible


  • To be active in the local/national market maximising awareness of the club, its products, and services
  • To communicate the Departments sales performance to the Chief Commercial Officer
  • To create and maximise new sales opportunities
  • Day to day management of the Commercial sales employee’s
  • To conduct regular performance reviews
  • To manage team work rate and output
  • Ensure the team are fully deployed and motivated
  • Ensure working environment and staff conduct meets company standards


  • To ensure customer data is kept up-to-date
  • To ensure customers are invoiced correctly & promptly
  • Communication with customers is accurate, fair & timely
  • To ensure that the customer match-day and non match-day experience is excellent


  • Act as the figure Head for the Commercial Department by working with other club Departments
  • To bring structure, professionalism and fresh ideas to the company
  • Creating new product initiatives 
  • Liaison with the Marketing department to plan initiatives 
  • Reporting and recommending future sales and marketing initiatives
  • Any other duties as required to ensure the success of the Club’s Commercial Department as directed by the Chief Commercial Officer




  • A good standard of Education
  • Fluent in English Language


  • Educated to degree level
  • Ability to speak other languages would be useful

  • Experience in sales, telemarketing, appointment scheduling or cold-calling techniques
  • Worked within football previously
  • Role models good team behaviour 
  • Takes full accountability for all their decisions and how they impact others

Personal Requirements

  • A hands-on approach and strong work ethic is a must with a background in target driven sales environments and good organization skills also essential.
  • High energy; ability to remain focused on sales goals and work independently
  • Must possess a genuine desire to exceed both consumer expectations and sales
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible and proactive approach to workload
  • Ability to multi task
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
