Worcester Warriors a professional Rugby club playing in the Premiership seek to appoint a new business  Sales Executive to C&E join their Commercial Department. Based at Sixways Stadium, Worcester, Reporting directly into the Head of the Commercial, the main responsibility for the post holder is to drive revenue into the non-match day Department through selling conference space to new clients or agents. 


Job Purpose

To drive revenue into the non-match day department through selling conference space to new clients or agents. 

Roles and responsibilities

To Pro actively source new business in key areas specialising in proactive conference and events sales

Manage existing client accounts as well as building and developing new accounts with the main objective of delivering revenue

Be responsible for sourcing new business and creating your own appointments and leads.

To achieve appointment and call target weekly, to support you in achieving your revenue target.

Be responsible for show rounds 

Attend both onsite and offsite appointments 

Be able to demonstrate your ability to negotiate rates and secure business

Focus on new business generation

Work with corporates and agents to deliver new business 

Ensure your KPI’s are being delivered 

Maximise sales potential at every opportunity

Complete follow up to secure sales

Provide an information and professional delivery at all times

Excellent time management skills in order to complete follow up from appointments

Able to communicate with clients and colleagues clearly

Work as a  team player with all departments

Uses initiative at all times, and able to make decisions independently

To understand the needs of the customer and then deliver in a commercial and practical way.

To undertake any other duties deemed commensurate by your line manager 

Hit Revenue targets set by your line manager

Specialising in conference business and creating packages to win business

Work with marketing to support you generate leads


Key Relationships

Existing customers both in the C and E business and Rugby Sales


Existing members of the Warriors C and E team


Qualifications and Education Requirements

Minimum 2/3 years’ experience within Business Development/New Business or Account Management role (face-to-face experience imperative; experience within the C and E world preferred)

Educated to degree level or equivalent

Self-starter who is target-driven and motivated – must be comfortable in a target oriented environment

Excellent communication and presentation skills (telephone, written and face-to-face)

Excellent time management, an individual who thrives on working autonomously
