Our client is looking for an experienced Head of Sales / Hospitality, who will be responsible for leading and managing the sales of matchday hospitality and premium seating, advertising packages and the player sponsorship programme as well as other Club related events.

You will report to the CCO and will work and manage the existing commercial sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative, effective and creative sales strategies to drive revenue generation from premium and corporate product offerings
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to maximise client retention and increase repeat business
  • Overall responsibility for lead generation and development of new business through outbound sales, referrals, networking and market research
  • Create and manage the sales budget in line with the agreed business plan objectives to achieve targeted revenue and profit
  • Work with the Chief Commercial Officer to implement strategies and growth for the Club
  • To work alongside the senior management team and positively contribute to the Club culture
  • Manage, motivate and educate a team to develop their skills in sales, prospecting, qualifying and account management
  • Prepare regular budget and management reports updating on financial performance and effectiveness of sales campaigns
  • Monitor consumer trends, industry developments and new technology to leverage opportunities to improve our sales strategy and product portfolio
  • Drive a culture of data capture across the business in order to significantly grow the database, better understand current and future customers, and to propose new products and services
  • In collaboration with other departments, particularly catering and operations, ensure delivery of best-in-class customer service and event experiences
  • Work with the marketing team to prepare marketing strategies and sales collateral to promote the premium opportunities available


  • Extensive experience as a Head of Sales/Hospitality Sales or similar role
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and revenue generation
  • Experience of managing budgets, analysing information and implementing sales strategies to drive business growth
  • An understanding of the sports industry and experience of working within it would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability in managing, training and motivating a sales team
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering best in class customer service
  • Clear understanding of the importance and potential of CRM systems and databases
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy and fast paced environment
