Our client is an emerging sports marketing agency with offices in both Manchester and London. They launched in 2017 and have so far exceeded all expectations in terms of growth and establishing our new business.
The Agency works predominantly in motorsports however, they also work with across other sports such as, football, basketball, boxing and horse racing etc.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sponsorship / partnership sales and have a deep understanding of the marketing industry. We are searching for someone who is keen to develop their own career alongside a dynamic business with an ambition to progress with the organisation as it grows.
This is an exciting time for the company due to the new partnerships and clients we are continuously acquiring.
The successful candidate will:
Have at least 2 years experience in sports sponsorship / partnership sales
Have a proven track record of the sales they have been responsible for
Have a strong and deep understanding of sports marketing and the industry landscape
Be able to discuss in depth marketing as a subject
Have an ambition to lead a sales team of sponsorship associates within 12 / 18 months
The role will require conversations with “C” level executives, both via telephone and face to face
Have a proven sales track record
Have the ability to be flexible with their working hours.
We work alongside some International brands and clients who will require early or late meetings and calls.
Have the drive to succeed and strive for the highest quality of service offered
Have an interest in sport.Have an excellent telephone manner
Be well presented
Additional skills desired but not essential are:
Educated to Degree level
Degree in sponsorships, sport marketing or marketing
The flexibility to travel
The flexibility to work some weekends
This will be limited and only in certain circumstances as the role may require
Experience in working with “C” level executives
Plays or has played sport to a strong level
10% Commission structure
