TaylorMade Golf Company is an American manufacturer of golf clubs, bags and accessories based in Carlsbad, California, United States. TaylorMade Golf was sold by adidas to KPS Capital Partners in October 2017.

They are looking to hire a Retail Marketing Executive that is fluent in French (speaking & written). The role is responsible for the regional implementation of Pan European marketing strategies with the trade in region South, ensuring the flawless execution of go to market plans and strategic marketing activities. Prioritisation of tasks and resource are essential to succeeding in this role. Analysing current activities, implementing efficiencies and a proactive approach is required. 

 

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

The Role breakdown

20% Reporting and Point Of Sale (POS) management

40% Key Account Trade Marketing management support

40% Field Account Trade Marketing management

 

Reporting & POS Management:

Responsible for the regional implementation of pan European marketing strategies, ensuring flawless execution

On Time In Full principle

Evaluate TaylorMade in store performance, develop and deliver relevant solutions

Assume role of regional marketing expert who regularly reports on local trends and activity that affect TaylorMade’s competitiveness within the general market place.

Key Account Trade Marketing Management Support

Management of Key Accounts in the South region.

Ensure all marketing activity is aligned to pan European commercial and strategic objectives

Help build key account marketing calendar for each customer in conjunction with the Key Account Manager

Be able to develop and adapt the plan within budget

Have a recognizable, close business relationship with the account’s Marketing contacts at all levels

Have ownership of how we are perceived at retail for each key account

Present ideas for change within budget to the business and to the customer towards better brand and product image and towards better rates of sale

Track and measure marketing activity within each key account to demonstrate ROI and quantify marketing activity.

 

Field Account Trade Marketing Management:

Provide support to field accounts in the South region and account manage selected accounts.

Ensure all marketing activity is aligned to pan European commercial and strategic objectives

Service marketing requirements of our field sales teams

Build close business relationships with regional Buying Group contacts

Plan and execute marketing activity calendar with each Buying Group

Take ownership for how we look and perform at retail within the region 

Retail conversion, brand positioning and staff training. 

Track and measure marketing activity across field accounts to demonstrate ROI and quantify marketing activity.

Ownership of Trade Shows and events.

 

Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience:

Business degree (or equivalent) or marketing qualification

Experience in a similar marketing role with a track record of demonstrable success (highly desirable)

Experience of account management, and coordination and execution of projects (essential)

Experience within a relevant retail or sales environment (highly desirable)

An interest in sport and/or enjoys and participates in the sport of golf (advantageous)

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Master of the English language

Fluent in spoken and written French (Essential)

Strong work prioritization, planning and organizational skills essential

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, highly competent in written and verbal presentation.

Able to interact effectively at a high level and across diverse cultures

Leads change through creativity and innovative ideas

 

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

Office environment

Regular travel required (estimated 25%)

Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
