Sale Sharks is an English professional rugby union club that plays in the English Premiership are seeking a Sales Executive to generate sales for commercial growth of the rugby club.

 

Main Function of Role

To generate sales for commercial growth of the Rugby club

To sell packages of sponsorship/hospitality/business club & events

To identify new markets and business opportunities

To organise and run the Business Club on match day

Identify new sales leads and prospects

(Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry our such other duties as may be reasonably required)

 

Main Duties (brief description)

Understanding of local/regional B2B markets and all aspects of matchday revenue generation Build local business knowledge and generate a personal network of B2B clients

Prospect clients for new and future business leads

Arrange meetings on and offsite with potential customers

Utilise the match-day operation to identify new and maintain existing business Negotiate the terms and agreement of sales

Maintain and developing relationship with existing customers

Responsible for hitting sales targets set by line manager

Work with line manager to identify business opportunities

Host Business Club events

Fulfil all paperwork requirements around booking sales

Work with other departments to deliver overall club strategy

Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues

Provide P&L accounts for all hospitality events

 

Requirements:

You will have a passion for sport

You will have previous Sale Executive experience

You must have cold calling & face to face client experience

You will be outgoing, driven and have a positive attitude

 

Other

Duties must be carried out in compliance with Safety at Work Act 1974 and subsequent Health & Safety Legislation.
