Lead Physiotherapist

Al-Qadsiah’s vision is to develop champions and elevate performance across Olympic and emerging sports, creating a pathway for athletes from the Futures level through to Olympic success. The club’s goal is to qualify eight athletes for the LA 2028 Olympic Games and become a leading multi-sport performance hub within the Kingdom.

The Role

As part of Al-Qadsiah’s Performance Support Team, the Physiotherapist will play a vital role in maximising athlete health, readiness and availability across multiple Olympic and emerging sports.

Working closely with the Head of Performance Support, coaches and wider medical and sports science staff, you will deliver high-quality physiotherapy services, providing expert assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to elite athletes within the club’s performance pathway.

You will also contribute to athlete health governance, recovery planning and injury prevention strategies to ensure consistent availability and world-class performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation for athletes across multiple sports
  • Design and implement targeted injury prevention and recovery strategies aligned with performance goals
  • Provide pitch-side and in-training medical support during daily sessions, camps and competitions
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure integrated athlete care and performance alignment
  • Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to data-informed rehabilitation planning
  • Champion athlete welfare and best-practice medical ethics in all environments

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Physiotherapy with HCPC registration (MCSP) or equivalent
  • Proven experience in elite or high-performance sport environments managing complex MSK injuries
  • Competence in emergency trauma care and first response in sports settings
  • Desirable: Postgraduate qualification in Sports Physiotherapy, Strength & Conditioning or Sports Medicine
  • Strong understanding of athlete monitoring, rehabilitation and return-to-play processes
