About the Role
The Chair of the Board will play a pivotal role in guiding Warwickshire Cricket through a period of growth, transformation and opportunity. The position will influence both men’s and women’s cricket and support the next phase of development at Edgbaston Stadium. The Chair will help shape the future direction of the Club both on and off the field.
The successful candidate will lead a committed and diverse Board, ensuring strong governance, strategic clarity and a culture aligned to the Club’s core values of Passion, Respect, Innovation, Diversity and Excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead the Board and key committees including Cricket and Nominations
- Oversee strategy, performance, governance and organisational culture
- Champion diversity, inclusion and values based leadership
- Represent the Club locally, nationally and internationally
- Provide support and guidance to the CEO and senior leadership team
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience chairing boards or committees in complex and high profile environments
- Strong strategic judgement and governance capability
- Inclusive leadership qualities with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi stakeholder landscape
- A passion for cricket and an understanding of the positive impact sport can have in communities
Role Details
- Location: Edgbaston Stadium
- Time commitment: 2 to 3 days per month
- Remuneration: Voluntary with reasonable expenses provided and attendance at Club and international fixtures included
- Term: Three years, renewable once to a maximum of six years
